Vols 1 Win Away from SEC Title Game
Who would have thought even a month ago that with 1 game remaining the Vols would still have a shot to win the SEC. This Vol fan never thought we would make it by Carolina, better yet Arkansas, but that's where we are at this point. We face a stiff challenge in the improved Kentucky Wildcats, they have stumbled some down the stretch but will be a formidable opponent this Saturday in Lexington. It will take solid defensive play to overcome the Cats, hits like the one pictured need to rain down in order for the Vols to prevail. One thing is for sure, if the D struggles we are in for a long game. The UK offense moved the ball and scored steadily against Florida and LSU, something the Vols have done on occasion this year, but struggled with at times as well. Field goals against UK will get us our 4th loss of the season, break out the UGA and Arkansas gameplan Phil, we're going to need it. Go Vols!Monday, November 19, 2007

This week, however, Tennessee Coach Phillip Fulmer could care less."
Scout.com: Value Beyond Victory
"It wasn’t the type of win most Big Orange fans wanted, but its just the type of win their team needed to test its poise, heart and toughness. It was the first time in 2007 UT came from behind in the fourth quarter to snatch victory from the grasp of defeat."

On Vandy- "They are probably more aggressive than any team we've played this season," Ainge said. "Not necessarily up in your face with the coverage, but they blitz almost every single play. It's going to take probably more film study this week to even get a good feel for them as opposed to anybody we've played this year."

Hakuna Matata for the Vols!!
The mighty Hog rush defense looked more like a Disney movie Saturday night in Knoxville, much to this Vol fans surprise. The electrifying McFadden, who still broke the 100 yd mark surprisingly, was basically shut down by his standard of yardage. Big props to the Vol defense on a great game, glad they played with some pride and consistency, keeping the home record unblemished. This Saturday's Vandy game looms as a trap, hopefully Chavis can ride the new found momentum through the Commodores and into Lexington, ending in the SEC title game with our first conference championship since 98. Vol offense should stay on track, they've played solid all year for the most part.Monday, November 12, 2007
