Vol Game with Louisiana-Lafayette A Warm-up For Arkansas GREAT SPORTS
"KNOXVILLE -- Louisiana-Lafayette is a "sandwich game" for Tennessee -- a game between tough Southeastern Conference matchups against South Carolina and Arkansas. But the No. 24-ranked Vols will be focused because the Ragin' Cajuns are a team similar to Arkansas in their style of play and the 4 p.m., game should serve as a good warm-up for that showdown the following week in Neyland Stadium.
When Darren McFadden (the SEC's leading rusher) lines up at quarterback, they're just like Louisiana-Lafayette,'' said defensive end Xavier Mitchell on Tuesday as Vol players and coaches met with the media and discussed Saturday's victory over South Carolina and Saturday's homecoming game that will be the first Vol football game since 1994 not to be televised by someone."
People are already talking about Arkansas??? That is a bit scary...

Wow
Wow Tennessee dodged a bullet tonight.
This was going to be my post for tonight.
"COLLAPSE
I wish I could say I am shocked. I wish I could say this was totally unexpected, but I kept thinking through halftime, how are they going to screw this up. I am just ready to give up on this season and start rooting for Bruce Pearl and the basketball team. What a disappointment..... AGAIN"

UT among least penalized
Jackson Sun - www.jacksonsun.com - Jackson, TN
"KNOXVILLE - Tennessee may have helped out a few opponents with the occasional fumble and botched punt coverage this season. Not when it comes to free yards.
The No. 25 Volunteers have been penalized for fewer yards per game than any other Southeastern Conference team this season, which ranks them eighth nationally in that category."
This is real improvement over the past 5 years.

Vols Step On Dawgs Face With a Hob Nailed Boot!!
UT redeemed themselves in a huge way Saturday in KTown. From the opening kickoff until the last second ticked away they controlled the game. All the big name analysts, commentators, and anyone else involved with football picked the Vols to lose in a big way, but our guys gave us one more reason to keep the faith. The Vol D looked like a ghost from 1998, in fact, I swear I saw #27 make a tackle or two. Of course with our current #27 running from end zone to end zone I could have mistaken him for Al. Big thumbs up to the team, and to the staff for getting our boys up for this game, it was a crucial one for the remainder of the season. Go Vols!!
