"KNOXVILLE -- There were smiles all around on Tuesday as Tennessee completed its third and final scrimmage of the preseason at Neyland Stadium.
Quarterback Erik Ainge continued to play extremely well and the offense again showed the ability to drive the football while mixing the pass and the run.

MSNBC.com preseason Top 25 Mayo spreads influence throughout Vols roster"KNOXVILLE — This is nothing new for Jerod Mayo.
Back in the day, he used to be a middle school football player in Virginia. He was better than everyone else and knew it. And when his teammates slacked off, he got in their faces and demanded better.
Now it's 2007. Now Mayo is a preseason first-team All-SEC linebacker at Tennessee, bigger, stronger, faster. Better in every way.But when it comes to leading, he's still the same, which is good news for the Vols, who are now less than a month away from opening their season at California."
