How long have we known that we need to replace Randy Sanders? Should I say how many years have we known.

Phil's loyalty is killing us. Cutcliffe would take the job back, let Sanders stay but maybe as Deep Snapper Coordinator.
 

It's more than loyalty to Sanders that's killing us... I think we lost the Georgia game because Phil doesn't have the balls to go for it on 4th-and-2 from the UGA 40. On our second possession, everyone in the stadium wanted to go for it. Show your team you think they can get 2 yards in the opponent's territory for christsake! Is there a better time to go for it than early in the game? If you don't get it, you still have a good defense, and you tell your team, your fans, we are here to WIN this game.

But what do we do? We pouch it to the 15, and the Dawgs do what any good team would do, march it 85 yards and take control of the game...

I know a lot of mistakes were made later, and we were "in the game" for a long time, but the tone was set early, by Big Phil playing it "close the the vest." An XXL vest I might add :o)
 

I agree ohd., esp the way our special teams plays, they are likely to bring it back to the 40 anyway

THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD HAS BEEN OPEN SINCE JASON WITTEN WAS A FRESHMAN. WE HAVE MORE OFFENSIVE TALENT THAN MOST TEAMS IN THE COUNTRY. YET WE FIND A PLAY THAT WORKS AND WE DON'T GO BACK TO IT, THROW THE BALL ACROSS THE MIDDLE UNTIL SOMEONE STOPS IT, THEN GIVE THE BALL TO RIGGS, AND THEN THROW IT BACK ACROSS THE MIDDLE AGAIN. WE BLITZED 3 TIMES AGAINST GEORGIA AND GOT TO SHOCKLEY EVERY TIME, SO LET'S JUST ASSUME HE MAY BEAT US FOR A 15 YARD SCRAMBLE, IT BEATS HIM THROWING IT DOWN THE MIDDLE FOR 40 YARDS WHEN HE HAS ALL DAY TO THROW IT. IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THIS, GEORGIA OUT PREPARED US AND OUT COACHED US, BUT THEN AGAIN, WHAT ELSE IS NEW. I'LL BE GLAD TO PAY RANDY SANDERS' MOVING EXPENSES IF WILL WILL KINDLY ASK HIM TO LEAVE.

I would like to say we need a new offensive coordinator, but that would imply we have one to begin with.
 

Not normally one to call for heads to roll, but the rest of the nation has passed the Vols by. Phil is a great recruiter, but there is a 3+ year lack of chemistry and leadership in Kville. Painful to see so many programs with terrific innovative offenses while ours is an ox in the mire. Not saying we should jump on the spread offense bandwagon, but get some innovation! Heck, throw to a tight end more than once a decade!
 

Please keep Boss Hogg and Roscoe together for the next 10 years. That would ensure that we only have to worry about those stinkin' reptiles from down south keeping us from winning East Titles....Thanks again - The Dawgs!
